Spork works in an office :p
It's a Polycomm USB Spearkerphone.
You attach it by USB to your computer for Conferencing by Skype or GotoMeeting or Lync etc.

Sorry, no to both.
Other things do attach to it, but its use is not related to photography, spraying stuff or firearms.

The circular holes are about 6.0mm in dia.
and it's not a mold, nor is it some obscure engineering gizmo. |

I'd wager that millions of identical or very similar pieces have been produced by a large company familiar to most.
Many of them in colors other than black. |
