Hi all
I have been looking for a best waterproof camera - topbestwaterproofcamera.com that i can use snorkelling without a case (the last case I had leaked and ruined my film). I was looking at the Olympue stylus 770 SW which sound ok to me but wanted to check for othere options, having performed a few fruitless internet searches i have decided to ask the experts.
Not bothered which make, something above 4 million will suffice. Price nothing above $400 would be good but is negotiable
Do I have any other choices, any recommendations???
thanks in advance for any responses!

I have an old Stylus 770 SW (7.1 megapixels) that I have been using for 5 or 6 years now. Got it to take in my kayak when I go fishing. Typically tie it off and throw it in on the floor of the kayak and it has held up amazingly well, even with how rough I treat it. The photos come out good for a P&S and I have no worries about it getting wet. |

I have purchased a Nikon Coolpix AW 100 and I have been very pleased with it all the times I have used it. |

Costco is now carrying the Canon D20
28mm wide, 5x zoom, waterproof to 33 feet (10 meters), shock-resistant to 5 feet, HD video, CMOS sensor (should be better in low light).

I\'m happy with what I\'ve bought : Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 16.2 Megapixel Compact Camera for $300. Its specs are unbeatable and has got unbiased reviews worldwide. Olympus TG-1 iHS Tough Camera is also an OK option at good price. If you were in NZ, I'd suggest you wiseguys.co.nz for the best deals. |

I'm searching myself these days and I narrowed it down to PanaTS5 mainly for its video. Short listed was also the NikonAW110. I handled both and they are fine. I stay away from Sony manly cause I want to use it for snorkeling and maybe some diving and the touch screen reportedly does not work underwater. I was able to snap some pics with all three of them and the IQ is no better then my iPhone 4S.
