We spend too much time kvetching about what we don't like about the current challenges.
We spend WAY too much time discussing the death of DPC.

This isn't really a suggestion for new rules (not because I wouldn't like them, but because they'd have to be completely draconian to actually work)...
What this IS, is a plea to all of you who wish to discuss this ad nauseum, for whatever reason, to please reconsider your next post on the subject, and instead of continuing to spread FUD, to instead do something to actually better the community.
Go comment on a photo in a challenge, especially a bad one, or even better, a mediocre one.
Write a tutorial if you'd like.
Suggest a challenge topic.
Go print 20 flyers for DPC and hang them around your town.
Just do something positive - and if you can't handle that, maybe, at the very least, just reconsider posting entirely. I promise, we all know it, and it's not like the fact there are two food challenges in a row has escaped ANYONE's attention.
Langdon provides a pretty good service at the cost, yes there are problems, but I will be here, playing the game I enjoy so much, and interacting with the people who I like so well. (consider this: An entire year here costs what a single meal out will cost)
And finally, if you must kvetch, then fine... Go ahead, I'm sure we can argue about it forever - and if nothing else ensures the continued existence of DPC, the threads about it's imminent demise and bad challenge topics will surely keep it going for ages to come.
