Took 1461 pictures during a 2 week trip recently to Egypt. After going through them all, I've chosen my 2 favorites, let me know what you think of them. Thanks.
My main regret on the first one is that the bottom of the mask isn't there, but I'm still pretty proud of it. |

Your second is the stronger shot and I also have to agree with jovi, fadoi...I'd love to see more...maybe there are some in the bunch that might not be as appealing to you but great to us...share!

Let me say that I'm proud of the mask of King Tut, since it was taken in the National Museum, without flash, and handheld in a pretty dark room with my Minolta 7i that I'd only had for about 2 months.
OK, here's a few more shots, I won't load them all, but a few more select ones, I've loaded about 30 into my portfolio here (Egypt). None of these have had any postprocessing except to resize em for here.
The ones inside the tombs were taken at waist level without flash since picture taking was forbidden inside the tombs :-)
I know there are some problems with some of my shots, I didn't realize the vignetting was so bad with the filter on the camera until I got home, but that is all easily fixed post processing, but bothersome. Tell me if you think I should load any of them to sell here.
If you want to see more than that, go to //members1.clubphoto.com/mike7773 and click through the Egypt pages. But here's some from my portfolio that I think are interesting.

Mike
I looked at your photos of Egypt and I think they are very nice.
In your selection I think you overlooked one very nice shot :)
I think this is a very powerful shot.

That little girl was amazing, she and Noel (my daughter) made friends quickly as kids do, so when it was Noel's turn to ride, that girl rode right with her. What was really neat was at the end, when it was time to get off the camel, that girl jumped from the back of the camel as it was standing up straight down to the ground (had to be 6ft or so). She then followed Noel around the entire Bedouin Camp as we were going through it. |

So which of these 2 do you like better?
I think the one where the two girls are looking at each other is better. I will say at times, I was hesitant to take pictures of people, as every time you took one, they expected you to tip them, at first it didn't bother me, but then it just went on, and on, and on, and on, and so I started then to shoot from waist level without looking like I was taking a picture so I wouldn't have to keep paying them. Oh well, it is all part of the 'tourist scene' |
