i always seem to have this issue. whenever i sue refine edge i get this light grey halo. i tried shift the edge in, out, contrast, smooth, feather, nothing... it always leaves this thin gray edge.
most of the time its not noticeable, but when i go to replace a background with a gradient it looks too fake.
i can manually get rid of it and i usually do, but what the point of refine edge when i need to manually do it?
any ideas?

Topaz Re-mask does a *better* job.
Still, I've never used anything that didn't require some hand work on occasion.
I'm hoping my new Wacom tablet will help. |
