| I'll never understand he fascination with diamonds. Chicks are weird, that's all I'm saying. Women would love to have a $10,000 diamond while men would spend that same $10,000 on cool shit like TVs, fishing gear, and power tools. |

In fact? Neither.
Colored stones, at least the best colored stones, really do tend to increase in value, or at least hold value. Diamonds are almost always a poor investment, unless you're buying as a diamond buyer, but that's a different game entirely. |

Well, I was using pawn shop metaphorically ... it would surprise me if, once you get into high-value stones, the ROI for a diamond would not be higher than for a TV or drill ...
A diamond's a lot easier to lose though ... I don't think I'd want one unless I was planning on cutting my way in through some windows ...
