There is certainly an obesity epidemic in america, but there is an equally bad image problem that girls can be influenced by in a negative way- the whole starve yourself, I'm too fat culture perpetrated by fashion mags and yes... Hollywood. so, at least we can take a stand against that. kids shouldn't feel shitty about not fitting into an xxxsmall... or not being the popular kid because of it.

And neither should adults.
Yet, that's the reality of life isn't it? So how long do you propose we hide the truth from our children? Should we stop with rainbow and unicorn world at 7? 8? 12? 15? 18? Just keep the little buggers in the basement forever for their own protection?
Sorry, but I don't see how springing the shittiness of reality on a kid at 18 is better than at 8 - frankly, it was always intriguing watching the sheltered kids try to deal with the world in college, finding out that shit isn't sunshine and daisies in the real world, and that your looks, intelligence, and people skills will do much to determine your place and treatment in life.

aarh, no one can be so sheltered that by the age of 18 they haven't figured that out.
Sure, A** and F*** can do what they want; this just makes them look silly. |

Hollister and A & Fitch are the same company. It's a marketing trick. |

Thanks for the 411, making more sense than ever now.
"Music
Hollister Co. stores are known to play an eclectic selection of alternative rock and pop music. The company policy is to play the music at the 80ΓΆ€“85 decibel level.[20] One investigation measured the level of sound at 90 decibels.[20] OSHA requires employers to provide ear protection to employees exposed to decibel levels 90 or over.[20] A store manager in a particular Hollister store stated that there were complaints from customers, but that the volume was mandated by corporate policy, though depending on the day and on the store, the music is usually lower due to the complaints.[20]"
