Or neither. I think they are just joking around. |

Oh, I'm sure they're just joking around. Or, maybe the TPL participants have the idea that voting is a team activity? At least we will get a long break (one or two years, I hope) from TPL after the final round is finished. |

I seriously doubt anyone involved in TPL viewed voting as a team activity. I'm so tired of this unsubstantiated dribble. Run along now so we can get back to the light hearted banter where everyone gets along as friends without casting aspersions. |

In light of the foregoing, may I suggest a TPL start date in two weeks. |

+1
Number of entries during TPL typically exceeded 100. Now we seem to be in the 50's to 80's.

The current forum topic is prima facie evidence of the thing you deny. The matter appears to be self-evident from the facts. |

How is it even possible that you read the original post and honestly took it seriously? It's called humor, not a call for vote manipulation.

Hey, slippy, your slipping as your humor is apparently prima facie evidence of a voting conspiracy. |

Now, now. I totally understand how someone can misunderstand slippy's humor. He's really not that funny after all.
However, I'm utterly flummoxed at how someone confused Homer Simpson's wagging *SS as anything other than humor. |

I just wonder if he also really thought Garry was really an avid STD collector?
Richard, you know I like ya, and consider you a friend, but surely you're not being serious here? It's been demonstrated that voting trends aren't off, it's pretty obvious this is just a joke, from a team of very successful jokers.
If you really do think there was anomalous voting going on, you should do two things, the first is to really work out what evidence you have of this, and the second is to present that information to both the administrators of DPC so they can take action, and to the TPL team so we can consider ways to mitigate the problems you propose exist.

You TPL types are pretty intense and intolerant. I don't care if you cut each others' throats. But, it's the collateral damage to non-TPL participants which hurts the photo contest site. Maybe you should think of a way to completely segregate your TPL activity and votes from those who have opted to not participate. Like, make your activity a side-challenge. Or, have the admin assign specific and particular challenge topics for TPL members only. Or, give us only periodic TPL competitions... with long periods of non-team activity in between. |

Intolerant? Of what?!
Richard, I appreciate that you feel something is going on here, but you haven't actually demonstrated any factual trends.
Show me the data brother, show me the data! |

The only thing that protects the site is the transparency of the data to the SC and Admin. I assume they are doing their job. I trust them to monitor. Until I hear differently, I'll assume they found no evidence of team voting. |

Before the TPL there was alot of talk of scoring issues that would arise, so I ramdomly selected about 2 dozen TPL participants and wrote down their
Ave vote cast. Turns out that only one had an average that went down. That persons Ave vote cast went from 5.00 to 4.99.
While I understand this is just a handfull of people I think it makes a good point.

Well, I am pretty intolerant to unsubstantiated dribble. I can admit that.
Not much for cutting throats though. And can't say I'm a vote rigger. Personally, I've noticed I've developed an unpleasant habit of voting everyone higher recently.
Can't say that TPL meant much more to me than it was fun to participate in and my team rocks in a commanding sort of kick sand in your sort of way and not in a revenge of the nerds sort of way.
And I learned how to post animated Gifs! Always wanted to know how to do that. Thanks Slippy for the motivation.
And er, um, that's about it.
May I suggest that we petition Langdon to have DPC converted to a team only rotating league competition site 24/7.
