Interesting. Looks like the end of the glass is in motion like a propellor.

Very neat shot! I like the blue from the transition from skinny to large. Good daignol compostion and exectued quite well.

It is an excellent abstract in my opinion, I don't neccessarily agree with the challenge rules on what an abstract is, "...if you can recognize it-then its not an abstract." People would have said, "Hey, that looks like a martini glass."

I like this shot a lot, but it probably wouldn't have done well just because of the nature of the challenge.

I also noticed something really neat about your shot. I really enjoy how the shallow DOF allows for focus on that blue part, where the photo is most interesting. The blue tones are just really neat.

Yeah the blue makes it...It appears to be almost in motion almost a spinning kind of feel.. I would give it a 8 in abstract..
Abstract has to many definitions in art or photography from what I have learned from one art teacher, its to see something in anything or everything thats not really there....And every person has a different view. So one photo or artwork of something abstract could get many opinions of what it is..or something is there but really then maybe its not.....Its all up to the viewer.
