Thanks Fritz, appreciate the positive pep-talk!
So that I'm clear, LR doesn't change the file in any way or append any information when its importing from disk?
With my new camera I have a tiny 4Gb card that needs constant emtpying. So once I have imported into LR I usually delete the card. Just want to make sure im not screwing myself.

| I think it depends on your Lr settings. If it's a standard import you're fine. If you have them converted to DNG files and not backed up as originals as well there might be a problem. But I'm not certain. |

No idea what the DNG files are, to be honest.
