I am wondering if HDR falls under advance editing, meaning a challenge says advance editing, now if I take 5 shots and merge them to HDR and submit, is it allowed? |

Yes:
You Must:
-create your entry from 1-10 captures of a single scene (defined as a scene whose composition/framing does not change). All captures used must be shot within the challenge submission dates.
You May:
-combine up to the allowable number of captures either in-camera or in post-processing.

This is my good deed of the month.
For the next thirty days,
... screw it.

But make sure there is nothing that changes position in the image - like a person moving through the exposures. Then you run into problems. As far as I have been able to figure out from forums, you are darned if you do, darned if you don't. IOW if you choose one of the poses and it differs significantly from the others, that can be a problem. If you leave them all in - ghosted - that can be a problem. So I hope what you have is a landscape :) |

It also depends a lot on if the object moving is a prominent part of the image. If its not you can remove it. |
