interesting, and well done, but i'm not sure if i buy into projects like that, mainly from a how-do-you-finance-something-like-that standpoint. he had "teams" searching for younger doppelgangers...how much time, effect, and expense goes into that? maybe you recoup your expenses if it gets published in a decent magazine? (hp doesn't pay for anything, except maybe cheap micro-stock stuff.)
i dunno... |

Skip, this probably falls into the Fine Art category, where he has a gallery representing him and manage his sales/exhibits, etc. But yes, making money at what you REALLY want to shoot, and shooting what REALLY earns you money, are rarely the same thing. I just thought it was really well done. |

This one doesn't do much for me. I think the photography is beautifully done and the scenes are extremely well set up, but I don't feel any connection between the mirror image and the older image. I don't get the feeling of a younger self, it just seems to be two different people -- the connection seems to be completely missing, imo. Love the idea, love the scenes, just seems like the choice of mirror people isn't right.

maybe if he'd photoshopped the older person to look younger it would have worked better ;-) |

I actually agree with you, Wendy. I was drawn to the concept and the pp'g. Not the casting. |

I like the idea (and I've toyed with the idea of combining an old photo of myself with me looking into a mirror) but for me, what doesn't work with these images is the placement. The reflections are mostly not where they should be in relation to the person regarding them.
