Is it legal, in advanced rule set, to create a vignette or gradient in the border? Or one which overlaps image and border?

one would have thought borders were fair game before the best of 2012 DQ debacle. |

"In" the border, sure, so long as the border remains distinctly separate from the image. I'd be real worried about applying a gradient that overlaps both border and image, because some might construe that as "making the border part of the image", which would be adding an extra element and DQable, I think. |

Thanks. What I had in mind would have retained a distinct border.
