This is probably an incredibly stupid question, but is there any can just take RAW images on my Canon 7D without JPEGs? Right now, every picture I take is saved as a RAW+JPEG, but for the life of me I can't find a way to turn JPEGs off.

It is getting frustrating having duplicate copies of every image on my computer! All I want is one copy in RAW.

Settings has a raw only function.

yes, i have used three Canon cameras, not a 7d though but i know its possible.

check the manual, but you should have a menu where you set the raw size and jpeg size, set jpeg to "-" i believe and pick the raw size you want.

ETA - see page 58.

Go to Menu->settings(first on left)->quality
On top is RAW, underneath is JPG. Set JPG to - and you'll only get RAW.
Just remember you will want both if you're shooting for a minimal editing challenge.
