I did not "insist" require that an image be one that I would hang on my own wall, but my own personal taste did figure strongly in my scores. I didn't really know how else to vote. Sorry.

How else would someone vote Art?
Or any other challenge for that matter.
If it fits the challenge then it's what you like best.

I don't know art either (clearly), but I know my Art score is not very impressive.

Not I - not even tiny violin territory which would look mighty nice at this point. But 9 lovely comments and a fave woot woot and like  markwiley and others, I still like it a lot :) |

As others have said, the score isn't too good, but some really nice comments and a fav, and yes, I still like it. Actually the more times I see it the better I like it. |

Well, I consider this entry to be a failure. Not because of the score but due to the lack of comments. My only comment is a criticism, which I do appreciate even though I don't necessarily agree with it. And who's fault is it? Mine, of course. The community has spoken with their silence. And in saying that I just realised I haven't commented yet on any photos. Time to rectify that and to stop feeling sorry for myself. |

Art schmart! Who defines what it is anyway?
Not truly "artistic" in the sense and many artists would not class my entry as art so much, nor would many of the people commenting, although most comments were delightful and proved the point of my composition.
Doesn't phase me at all because at least my shot got a reaction, by the amount of comments, and isn't that what art does???
After all, photography is an art form isn't it??
Some great entries in this challenge, despite the low scoring indicating the contrary.

Only positive comments, including one minor critique of a personal preference type, but barely over a 5. Looks like a love it or hate it entry.
