Better hurry. Ocean acidification is increasing in pace, and nothing is more affected than limestone/marble.

Beautiful place Tangy, the cathedral is surreal.

I can't just pick one.

Hell, even in caves there are three -
Lechuguilla (ALMOST made it in, and we were one guy short so we canceled.)
Cave of Swords/Daggers (nearly impossible to get a permit)
Hang Son Doong (Love the forested skylights in this one)

..

It's a great thing the world is so big and fantastic - I'll never run out of places I simply MUST go. ;)

Geez, I don't have one.....I have a boatload list:-)

Just some of the specific locations I would love to go see

Machu Picchu, Peru

A 2 night stay on the Noordelicht, a restored schooner frozen into the middle of an ice-covered fjord to watch the Northern Lights Noordelicht More on the Noordelicht

Jiuzhaigou river in China

Outside of Christchurch, New Zealand on top of Mt. Sunday looking around at the surrounding area. Yes, this is the place where they filmed Edoras in Lord of the Rings (they took the whole town down after filming) but the views of the plains and snow capped mountains is just breathtaking.

Petra, Jordania

Easter Island

The Meteors : monasteries built on rocky peaks in Greece

Cinque Terre, Italy

Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, Japan - Wisteria Tunnel

That is just a tiny portion of my list ;-)

Hehehe, all these are on my list as well, especially Meteor. Add in Iguazu Falls. I've been there and it is indescribable.

Cory, I totally agree. We will never run out of extraordinary places to see.

The places I would like most to go back to with real camera gear (as opposed to the little Oly XA that fit in the backpack)

Jaipur India

Borobudor Java

Cappadocia Turkey

Guilin Chuna

You can't take a bad picture in any of those places.

Oh wow.... cool...

Mine's really simple -- I want to go to Alaska during the salmon run and shoot the grizzlies and the eagles. Always been my dream. It's going to happen someday. But they're already starting to protect things and put limits on the photographers. If I want to be eaten by a grizzly, I should be able to be eaten by a grizzly! :D

I bet you could still manage to get eaten by a grizzly if you tried with a little American do-take-no-for-an-answer spirit!

New Zealand. All of it, but especially the South island. I could spend months there shooting.

The river approach is visually very similar to Devil's Throat at Iguazu, but the similarity ends there. The falls at Iguazu are MASSIVE and beyond powerful. Like 22 billion gallons per second powerful.
