Man, it is really thick right now. I only have 13 more days of school left and it is just killing me! I want to graduate now, but the teachers ALWAYS cram your last two weeks of your edcational career. I have SO much homework, most of it being reading Lord of the Flies (which I really don't feel like reading, maybe on my own time, but now?). I have already accepted my scholarship to USU and I am slacking off more and more and care less and less. Is this normal?

Normal? Yes. But, ya gotta bite the bullet so to speak.
Congrats on completing Senior year! Have fun at graduation, and congrats on the scholarship! Woo hoo! What are you going to major in?

I know, I just need to bite the bullet, even though it gets tougher everyday, the end will be here shortly (at least so we hope).

exactly!
You'll soon see that "this too shall pass" is a common motto. Then it becomes "this too shall pass... too quickly".
I know you have probably heard all this before... like "I feel like it was just the other day when..." but it is true. :)
Enjoy each moment, and try to not rush it too much. |

I know, I consider myself a fairly good student with a 3.96 GPA and 26 ACT. I actually really enjoyed high school a lot because I was really involved with the arts, mostly musical arts like marching band and choir. Its just that the anticipations is killing me. This year has been hard for me to barrel through because I finished all the Science and Math (AP Calc AB and AP Physics B) last year, so I have been stuck taking all the boring required classes this year. I need math to stay sane in school, spo this year has drug on like no other.

Funny that this was brought up because last week I was laying in bed trying to get to sleep and it suddenly dawned on my it's been 15 years since I graduated from high school. Feels strange to look back and realize that my elementary school summers felt longer than the last 15 years of my life. |

don't worry about school because believe it or not that is the easy part of growing up. and don't worry about getting old until you have started more then one storey by saying "I remember when..." |

Congratulations on your soon to be graduation, Matthew. I hope as the years go by you will still keep interested in photography along with all the other things you will as you go to college, fall in love and get married, have kids and all that stuff!
It's been 31 years since I graduated from high school - it seems to have gone by in the blink of an eye. So much of age is in the mind though - even though I'm a grandmother life is still a fun adventure. |

Congrats on graduation everyone! It's been 9 short years since high school for me. It was a lot of fun! I don't miss the cramming for tests and waking up at 5:30am, but I had fun!
For those of you going to college, you'll learn how easy high school really was! Have fun, study hard, keep up the great hobby of photography!!!

Yep, it's normal. CONGRATULATIONS on your accomplishments!!! This summer will seem strange because you're "between" things. My oldest son just graduated from CSU Saturday and he went through the same thing. Starts graduate school at UNC in the fall, so he's a "tweener" this summer. My oldest daughter earns a Masters next Friday. She's doing an internship, so is pretty involved yet. She plans to work in the field for a year before going back for a doctorate.
Enjoy every minute of it!! |

I will always love photography, though I may never make any money off it or get a degree in it, I will always love it and will never stop learning.
I feel a lot better now, I just had to get that off my chest, I just need to hold out until the end, but the end is soon drawing near. I can almost taste it its so close.
I can't wait to shout Hallelujah!!!

13 days!?! Lucky. -_- Well, I've got AP testing these next two weeks (with ditch day, grad night, our spring production cast party, and senior tea thrown in), then regular school for a week, finals the week after, then senior trip. Bah. Lots to do. And I don't want to do it. The yearbook was FINALLY completed today (a week and a half late) and I have yet to move forward on the digital supplement.
I'm tired. I'm bored. But I don't want to leave and separate from all my friends. *cries* I've moved before and this sucks. At least we're mostly staying instate. I'll be an hour away from my boyfriend, and over an hour away from all my other friends from school, but closer to my friend who lives about an hour away now. How does that work? ^_^
And I'm kinda freaked out about living on campus. I mean, I'm not big on socializing, and well, honestly, I decided to live on campus the first year so that I wouldn't have to come in in the middle and feel clueless about campus life and not know anyone (been there, done that, hated it).
Woah, sorry, rant...
