Here's a Groupon for Canvas on Demand. They've raised their price to $45 from $39, but I think it's still worth it. I should be getting my canvas from them tomorrow. They called me when they had a question about my order about mirroring the sides to fit the whole image on the face of the canvas - great customer service! Their shipping has changed and it's taking longer to receive the order than it used to but I'm sure if you needed it quickly, they would try to get your order out faster. If you've never signed up for Groupons, I'd appreciate you using my referral code first, and then click on the above link. The Groupon says it is for Albuquerque, but anyone can use it. |

Thanks -- I should really try this some day. I'm not quite sure what types of things would look good on canvas... How do I start picking? |

Wendy, I think most people pick images that have a special meaning to them. I sent my daughter 2 b&w 16x20 canvases from her wedding pictures as a gift and she loved them. I've mostly done landscapes for myself that have meaning. We're hoping to take a trip to Europe this spring and I'm sure I'll find something I want to put on canvas. :-)
If you're thinking of trying to sell them, you might contact Neil or Hahn23 and see what sells. |

Wendy, keep in mind that canvas prints are VERY forgiving. They print very well at 150dpi and the texture can hide noise or lack of sharpness. I'm kind of over the look of canvas anymore (they don't sell as well because they are now so common too) and will do most future prints on metal or would like to try acrylic too. But if I ever have something I had to push really hard and the quality is questionable but I still want to print it, I'll go with canvas.
An image where everything is ideal can still look great on canvas, but it could be a savior for something you like but had to push the limits with. For example; my Best of 2012 image was shot at ISO 6400 because I don't own a fast enough WA lens for that kind of shooting. But it looks great on a 12X18 canvas.
So maybe you had to do a very heavy crop of one of your bird images but you still like it a lot? Think about canvas...
