Yup... Rebooted my computer due to a virus and I lost Photoshop...
Gunna have to use GIMP for the time being until I can find the money to go buy a version of Photoshop or something.

Why not just reinstall it?

As long as it was a legit copy and relatively current, you can get Adobe to deactivate it, and reload it.

You can "rent" it at Adobe.com for $29.95

Isn't that just for a month? I'd rather wait until I get some money to spend for a version I can keep.

If you registered with Adobe, they have your code. You can send them an email, let them know what happened, and they'll send your code to you.

Besides, my birthday is tomorrow so I might be able to gather enough birthday money to get elements 11.0 or something. :)

If you have an Adobe ID, for the future, you can register your software and they keep your ids online with your account.

Yep I've done that for Photoshop and my lightroom serial numbers. I had a crash and was able to bring them both back using my adobe ID.

Happy Birthday! It might be cheaper to reinstall your current version and then upgrade rather than purchase 11 straight out. With that being said do you not get great student discounts on Adobe products?

If you run a Belarc Advisor report, it will find any remaining rego codes for you.
I have found Belarc very useful on several occasions.

... What Beetle said. Came right handy for me when I was trying to find the registration numbers for a variety of things I had managed to make disappear.

If you don't get it reinstalled, here is an online editor.

I've used this when I really needed a quick edit. And not on my home machine.

And don't forget CS2 is now free.

I second that. If money is tight, free is hard to beat. CS2 has 90% of the current tools and is a big step up from GIMP or Elements, plus you get to keep tor Adobe chops from knowing Elements, plus learn some new tools. For FREE.
