I would far prefer a challenge in the style of skewsme than a ribbon hawg pro, who takes runs at people who do not have a pro-calibre setup to play with. |

Trust me, the challenges have been rather boring lately, now we need to have some fun!

I'd be keen on both this and the H2, they are similar in context of attempting to refelct a style, but those styles are far enough appart both in the same week would be even more intrigueing to me.

Meh, I'm not for either, no offense to the photographers. In the style of just doesn't interest me. If you really want to mimic someones style, you can do that without a dedicated challenge. |

I agree with smardaz here. In fact, it was just a week or so ago that I read (and marked as a watched thread because I was impressed with the discovery) about a great idea to use bubble wrap to diffuse a flash to get much better (i.e., closer to pro) results. A challenge to emulate someone who is admitedly a pro at studio photography seems to be a perfect opportunity to practice these techniques.
And a challenge in the style of skewsme would be cool too! |

Couldn't agree more, people become so polarised, "I'm on that side, I'm alternative, I'm more mainstream, blah, blah, blah" stop denying it's a circle and welcome it all.
I think this would indeed be a great challenge, let's be having it.

I think that is a great idea.
It might be fun if we ran challenges as pairs, slightly like in the old days of exclusive challenges. Two in the style of challenges with divergent styles would be thought provoking. |
