National Handwriting Day is coming round again - 23 January. Here's the template and the code for this year is CPN4MOM2013.

The site understandably gets a lot of traffic on the day, so be ready if you want to make your own font.

thanks for the reminder, david! even with the best laid plans, though, it's still a struggle to get through the queue...

we've made 5 and have 5 more we'd like to make, but we're running out of time :(

well, under the wire, we did it! but next year, we're going to be ready ahead of time and have all our uploads ready to go beforehand.

Good job, Skip. I went and completely forgot about it ... being preoccupied with other stuff. (I also did a font full of doodles once).
You might have to wait only until Mother's Day for the next one.

IÃ¨ve always wanted to design my own font. Learned how to hand-letter in college, and much to my surprise, I retained a lot of what I learned and was able to put to use...like in chocolate writing on dessert plates at the restaurant where I worked a year ago.

Anyway, just got out a book about fonts from the library - Just My Type by Simon Garfield. CanÃ¨t wait to sink my teeth into it! Would love to design a font but certainly not one based on my handwriting, which by all accounts is illegible.

Dingbats should be the official DPC font, seeing we have so many of them here :-)
