how much cloning is allowed. i know we can clone stray hairs, telephone pole, small wires, etc. but what about clothing, for instance if i wanted to clone out a bra strap the wasnt intended to show but did, its not prominent, its more like a stray hair in the way it just sticks out.
the problem i am having is with the crop i have its fairly large, not huge but more than i'm comfortable removing and submitting for challenge.

I've solved similar dilemmas by darkening the item lots but not burning it out or removing it. Will this work for you? |

I cloned out a fireplace lighter sticking out of my son's pocket in a recent challenge.
It was validated but it was apparently very close to the line.
Hope this helps. |

yet, tanguera cloned a hem and got screwed... there is no QC... take your chances - there isn't much at stake after all. |

But what Tanguera did was IMPORT some fur edging from another part of the image and add it to a hem that was not originally trimmed in fur. It's not a matter of cloning too much OUT, it's adding something that didn't belong that got her canned... "...the DQ was over the hem of the coat at bottom left, which was ragged and horrid. I filled it in with a bit of the fur from the cuff."
So that's a different issue entirely, I think. We can never do that, we can't move stuff from one place to another except in expert editing. |
