I know several of the members here who have a studio at home or somewhere else. And I thought I would give you all a warning about a company that I'm currently having all sorts of issues with.
Backdrop Outlet is a company that another local Studio recommended I try because they got a really nice product from them for their studio and I had inquired about it.
I called and spoke with their Sales dept. and after talking with them decided I'd place an order. They told me that the item was made to order would take three days to prepare then ship and I'd receive it in a week. Two weeks later after several calls(and placing a second order for some specials they had going) I called them and asked where my first order was. I was told it would ship the next day and they would call me to verify it. 3 days later I called back and was told they would again check on it. The following week I called again and told them if the first order hadn't shipped to cancel all of my orders and refund my money. Guess what the first order was "magically shipped" but they cancelled the second order anyway even though I had told them to ONLY cancel it if the first hadn't shipped.
Fast forward to today. Nearly a month later. They still refuse to refund the order they canceled and each time I call they tell me it will be handled the next day and never has been. Tomorrow I'm calling again and contacting the BBB in their area to file a complaint with them. As well as my CC company to dispute the charge.
Buyer beware of this place. Reseller rating(which I couldn't find the first search of them) gives their rating pretty poorly and I wish I had seen it before placing my order.
The first product I finally received is OKish quality, but the hassle with the company certainly is not.

Just wanted to bump this again and add, that for one additional time I called and was again told that it was all credited back to my card. I called the bank once again who issued the card. They show nothing being credited and warned me to put a dispute on the charges or I may never see the money. So I did. I also am trying to reach the BB in their area, but haven't had much success.
Again I would highly ADVISE you NOT to deal with this place. They seem and act very shady.

| I'm really sorry you had a bad time with them. I got 3 backdrops from them at ridiculous prices. They're definitely 2nd rate quality, but guess what, they look great on camera. This was taken using one of the backdrops. |
