I have a ceiling mount track system for all my backdrops. this is a new system and I am looking for a way to stretch out the backdrops so there is no creases or lines.

I was thinking of using bungie cords or ?? Anyone have any experience with this type of thing?

I have the same type of system (used far too infrequently) and have found that tossing a few sand bags along the base quickly pulls out most of the wrinkles, but a metal cross bar running the whole length works even better because it pulls down evenly. Those are only helpful if you are shooting above floor level though. Clamps along the sides with bungee cords or maybe even better a tightened rope with friction knot would work nicely I would think.

+1 for the metal bar. i dont have a track system, my back drops are hung from rods. i made a fold at the bottom with iron on seam tape so that i can insert a rod at the bottom to weight it down evenly.

laying a metal bar across the bottom should achieve the same effect.

I shoot a lot of pics that are floor level up so...

the issue with bungee cords is that they create points of tension, so more, but different lines. If you are using large cloth pieces, a hand held steamer (available at a garage sale near you, a common but horrible gift)can get rid of wrinkles quickly. a bar at the top, a bar at the bottom and a little steam works wonders.

you will need to pull it evenly from the sides, maybe a bar on each side with clips tied to bungies?

Yes, the hand held steamer! A necessity!
