Hi. I'm looking for a real good WW II history book for my father. I'd like to have one that has a lot of pictures and information about those pictures. Any ideas?

Yes, I know its just over 5 hours until Santa starts his worldwide trek, but this was a last minute thought. :)

Thanks,
Paul

A real Catch-22 ... ;-)

How about Churchill's version?

I've seen this one, it's handsome and articulate. Not scholarly, though, in case that matters.

A great book with lots of pictures is: The American Heritage Picture History of World War II. It's an oldie (first print 1966) so not sure it's still available.

If you want to dedicate a bookshelf to it, the Time/Life 39 volume set is pretty impressive. Certainly the best collection of images you can find.
