AKA EVEN TOTAL FAILS CAN BE FUNNY!
Ingredients:
1. Photographer
2. A camera
3. Assistant
4. Bottle of Bubbles
Get Assistant to blow bubbles.
Take OOF images of bubbles (unintentionally of course)
Examine resulting images hoping for amazing pictures of bubbles blowing across the landscape
Discover you have photographed those mysterious alien 'orbs' that people puzzle over on the net periodically.
Idly wonder how many people you can fool if you were that way inclined.
PART 2
Try again to capture amazing pictures of bubbles floating across the landscape.
See cat staring at bubbles and snap one off quickly
Discover you were completely wrong and what you actually got was an alien face eating orb with mysterious black eyes attacking the cat!

one of these days I will actually get the light / distance / focus right and get those amazing shots of bubbles. At the moment the wind blows them too fast, haven't got the right background to show them off and certainly have not got the focus right. It's clearly a learning curve...
BUT
the 'mysterious' orb effect did have me laughing my head off.
FYI these are totally untouched (except cropped and resized for web) those 'eyes' were just a reflection in the bubble. I think of the cat actually. |

Those are cute! I think my problem is that I am trying to take photos of the actual bubbles. It would be easier if there was another subject in the photo and then you ignore trying to focus on the actual bubbles. But I had a specific idea in my head of bubbles just floating across the sky and by golly that's what I'll get! .... eventually :) |

Me too :-). Its a seriously #$%@ off cat :-). I have a black cat around here (he comes in when it pleases him), with about the same sense of humor as the one in the picture. Never tried blowing bubbles at him ... hmmmm .... |

Oh, I didn't see that he is still a kitty. Did he eventually end up playing with them? |
