I am trying to take a photo to be made into a puzzle. I would appreciate comments/critiques.

Sure has the puzzle image feel, though probably would help for the foliage in the background to be a bit more grown in, such as in late summer/fall. Also, maybe a bit tight on the left side, but still a great scene.

I think this is a good one for a puzzle because you have wide areas of the same element - flowers, bricks, sky, etc. - to make it harder for the person doing it. It's a nice image.

I agree. I am looking forward to taking more pictures of this barn in the fall.

I like the photo but for a puzzle I think the sky needs some clouds. You want it to be hard to put together the pieces by color, not imposible. You might just try less sky as well.

Given the nature of this project, and even coloration of the sky in the original, now might be a good time to find a good picture of some dramatic clouds and composite them in behind the barn.

That's good advice. I know it's been awhile, but I finally got back to this project. What do you think?

That's better, but it's still pretty light and flat with large smooth areas of sky. When I said "dramatic" I was thinking a little more along this line:

You'd have to take/make something to match the color and tone of the original shot, but I'm looking mostly for added texture.
