| A while back I looked at the Canon Service website to see if I could get a quote on fixing/replacing the view screen on my 5D but it seems like all I could do was mail it in to be fixed, is there a way I could get just a quote from them? It's just got scratches and I wonder if it's even just a outer coating or film that could be replaced and I would like to know what it needs before I decide how bad I want this fixed. |

| I found some others who had done it as well but that seemed to have the best explanation. Take some disassembled pics and post them! |

I sure will! I contacted Canon parts center today and all tolled it will only be about $30-$35 to replace the screen, not bad at all. Maybe I can even get the culprit responsible to pay for it, not mentioning any names COUGH ScooterMcNuttyCOUGH |
