I'm getting the impression DPC is kinda done. Over. Finished. Whatever.

But even if it isn't, I still have a request.... can any of our brilliant coders figure a way to download a portfolio? In other words, I'd kind of like to have access to my portfolio in the event DPC does go by the wayside... I use it as a sort of pictoral diary of where I've been and when I was there. The comments I've added help jar my addled memory. I'd like a way to keep all this intact.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Screenshots of my entire portfolio (not just challenge entries) would take a wee bit of time, and at the moment I have a ton of other stuff that needs to be taken care of. Something a bit automated would be lovely!

I am interested in the answer you get Deb - when I asked (2 or 3 years ago) I was told by SC the only way to d it was to download one at a time. Hopefully things have changed. I stopped adding to it and developed a website instead.

i wiped mine clean a few months back, so only my challenges exist. i have no need for a portfolio here, no one ever looks at it. if i want to showcase something it goes on 500px where people actually see it.

Right-clock and save image is about all I know that will work. However, you do not have to wait for,one image to finish to start the next. You can run multiple downloads at a time.

Saving each page of your challenge entries and portfolio pictures to your local drive is an option. You can then browse to the html file and folder, where you will have the images, comments and all. I logged off the internet and checked the page and could still view everything.

Install cutepdf and "print" anything you want to a .pdf file?

There are also screen capture tools some of which are plugin's in browsers like chrome, so that is also an option.

Goodness. One screen capture at a time? I guess I just lose the whole shebang. (Note I don't plan to loose it. Just lose it.)

So be it. I won't know after a few years anyway and no one else is gonna care! Ha! Ha ha! Hee hee!

If you know anything about unix run recursive wget to download it all but if not set up carefully it will download the entire site.

You can use it in terminal on mac as well of I'm sure their ate some windows copies of it look for website retrieval tools etc

But wget is the command line daddy

I just dl a program here and started it; it is still running but from what i see it is actually working... [few minutes later] I can confirm it is working. This is basically the windows version of wget that giles recommended... Not sure if its 100% 1:1 in quality but this makes the site accessible offline from a folder on your harddrive.... thats what you want right?

I'll take a look at that after work tonight or tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. Thanks!
