Ok,
So I invited over a couple of friends(including  TJinGuy), and we all took Miracle Berry pills, which contain the protein miraculin.
In short, this particular protein blocks the sour receptors on your tongue, and makes some crazy things happen with food.
We tried a variety of things, but the real standouts were, in order:
Lemon
Yogurt
Sour Cream
Lime
Wish we had been able to find grapefruit, but it is the winter in the middle of nowhere New Mexico, so... *shrug*
We all found vinegar and cheddar somewhat disappointing, the vinegar was different, but damn sure still vinegar, and the cheddar was unchanged. We also tried some lemonade made with just water and lemon juice, and surprisingly, it was actually too sweet for one of my friends.
Anyway, if you're bored at all, and want to try something different, give this a shot - it was a real blast for everyone - if you do, I'd love it if you'd share your experiences here, as this is absolutely something I'm going to do again.
FYI - A bit of alcohol or any hot/cooked food will clean your tongue right off and lemons will totally make you pucker up proper again.

| This is a great idea! - It means I can eat all the expired dairy products in my fridge without worrying. |

Talk like that will get the DEA trying to have this moved right onto Schedule I ... :-( |
