We had one of these two years ago, i dont remember one last year, anyway i thought it would be a good idea to spread some giving and goodwill among the dpcer's this holiday season.
if you have something you no longer have use for, give it away to someone who would make use of it. it doesn't necessarily have to photography related it can be anything you think someone else would get use out of.
shipping payment is up to the person offering the item.
Just PM the person who offers it up.
I'll start it off:
i have a Hoya 67 mm NDx8 Neutral Density Filter that i have no use for, i.e no lens to fit it. its in great shape so if anyone wants it or needs it, its yours, I'll pick up the shipping.

Battery and charger for a Canon Powershot G11. I believe it works with the G10 and several others in that series as well.

I have a camera bag/backpack by Lowepro - camera goes in the bottom compartment, other stuff like laptops and such can go in the top.
One of these
Free to someone local to Los Angeles! (Or free to someone outside of Los Angeles, assuming I can find a box for shipping, so you'd have to be a bit patient.) |

I've got one of those as well, though I'm not giving mine away. I carry a Camelbak reservoir in the laptop compartment. Perfect for airshows.

Okay.....this is a little weird, but I can't think of a better possibility,
I have this Nikon D2x. It's a fantastic camera.....the best camera Nikon made in 2005. Granted, in dog years, it's 137, but it's still a quality camera.I bought it from a friend 'cause he bought new, and it wasn't worth much in trade a year or so ago. I was truly impressed by the quality of the shots it takes. Some examples....

Now granted......there were all shot with my 105 f/2.8VR, but still.....
Especially compared to today's cameras, the high ISO performance downright sucks, but in ideal conditions, it holds its own quite nicely.
Here are the shots of the camera....

As you can see by looking at the upper left in the rear view, and in the third shot, I dropped it. It banged up that corner, and broke the review button. I don't want to sell it, because it could quit at any point, though it's been working fine. Occasionally, the review button will stick, and you have to jiggle the button to get it out where it belongs.
I'm looking for someone who has Nikon gear that understands what a truly fine body this is, and could use it happily knowing that if and when it quits, they didn't have any cash outlay for it. I don't want to see this be someone's only rig and buy lenses for it unless they plan on buying Nikon in the first place if it does fail. I have the charger and an extra battery. I will pack and ship it.....continental US.

Jeb that is a great little camera there. I almost bought one a year or so ago to use as a remote only camera during daylight sporting events. Someone will be super happy to get that!

If anyone has an old Canon they'd like to gift... doesn't matter how old as long as it's digital.
the post I wrote about the sissonville gas explosion, the girl interviewed lost her camera, lens, laptop, and everything else she had. she was in digital photography class and I was going to get her to come over here... as she has a true passion for photography.
but now She's lost everything.
I was hoping to get my 5D2 or 6D as soon as possible so I could give her my 450D. but I don't foresee that happening prior to April 2013.
if you or anyone you know of has an old camera laying around you'd like to gift... it would go to a very deserving young aspiring photographer. :) |
