Hello all, I'm applying for a Photographer's Assistant Job. Here's a question. What is the best way about going about setting up a resume and questions to ask about the company and the photographer himself?
I would love to get my hands dirty in this field and I know that I will do the petty little things, no problem. The type of photo shoots are Action Photography dealing with sports from high school events to Pro Sports of all sorts here in Missouri. Travel will be necessary. On the job training too with $30-$60k yearly salary. They asked to e-mail a resume and I was going to add a link to a on-line portfolio. Any ideas about what type of images to place into the resume? I know that this job seems small, but I don't and it's a big deal to me. I just want to give the best to show. I have over 3000 shots and now having to find the VERY BEST. I really don't have to many action shots...as they are difficult to shoot..timeing is must....Also, I have no privous history with photography, but one job 6 years ago. But was nothing really, just touch up negatives. Oh and no real formal schooling in this field. I have in others, but not photography as it was just a hobby to me. But now wanting to see if I can just make a living out of something I LOVE. However, very eager to get better at it and become to love this type of work as well. Any Ideas is great or help or links to site about a photo resume for hire... I have until Sunday night to send out my resume...thank you.
ps. Here is my website with my work, not all of my work, but mostly some of my best, (I think) to me. If you feel so inclined to view...//dhsmith.smugmug.com/
