what exactly is considered texture in expert editing? I need to know because I want to use an old picture for my entry origins as texture but I want to make sure I understand exactly what is considered a texture for this challenge. Thanks for your help in advance...although...is a file an original if it was shot in jpg format?

Contact SC with the original and result for their opinion. That is the safest option.

Is there enough time before tonight's entry?

You won't know unless you try. In the meantime, asking opinions without showing the images is definitely unreliable. You just need to read the argumentative threads on DQ images to understand that there are so many differing opinions on this site. Generally I ALWAYS shoot my own textures for Expert within the challenge dates so there can't be any argument. It is the safest way. I hope that helps.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. You are right...better safe than sorry!

A texture is generally considered a texture as long as it is not recognizable as something else. The opacity should be quite low, just enough to add, well, texture.

Your Mona caused me to write SC asking for clarification/edification quite a while after the challenge ended.

Still think you were robbed.

Thank you for the info! I entered it without texture, did not want to take a chance... :)
