... can't say that I would agree with the second sentence of your comment.

Who's ready for 2014?

It seems some conservatives are, and they have figure out the problem. Moderates. While Lindsey Graham(R-S.C.) is a pretty solid conservative, he has been one of the few senior Senators on the right who has been willing to try to meet Democrats in the middle to try to take care of the country's business in a Senate that is rife with contempt for the historical tradition of the upper house's more civil discussion, at least compared to the rancor of the lower house.

The conservative anti-tax SuperPac the "Club for Growth" has decided to paint a target on Senator Graham's back and put him first on their list to be defeated by massive spending. Clearly we need to get rid of any Republican who is not tribal enough to realize that the good of the country can not be put ahead of the good of the party.

Would this be a time to point out that the words "people" and "welfare" appear in the US Constitution, while the word "corporation" does not?

Rude and nasty comment. I've seen a lot of those from you. I've seen a lot of rudeness in this thread and the vast majority of comes from the supposed tolerant left leaning folks. The left, tolerant of all ideas as long as they agree with them.

What were you saying about rude comments? Ray just said he disagreed. He didn't call him names.

edit- no point in fanning flames.

On the re-read it was a dig, but hardly an under the belt shot. At least by Rant standards. Heck it might even have been a compliment: but I doubt it.

When you can read simple disagreement as "rude and nasty" you may be standing too close to the fire. Read it for what it is, not for anything else. We can politely disagree, it was what this country was founded on.

Read his post again sir, he was essentially saying he didn't think Cowboy could write the article.

If Ray would have said that to me I wouldn't care so much but I think a little more respect is due to a man who has recently returned from Iraq.

Ray has his 'list' of enemies who receive those sorts of remarks. Not reserved for Americans. :o)

As Adam said about the office of the Presidency and the man who holds the office; you can honor the role and disagree with the opinions of the person who performs it.

Friday is national Papa Johns appreciation day...and actually not started by papa johns. For those that don't know....Obama care is about to start hurting buisnesses with more than 50 employees...This will discourage growth of small buisness and the slightly biggerones will cut employees hours. Hurting our fragile economy even more. I plan on going to papa johns friday, to support getting rid of Obamacare.

OK, explain to me how eating a pie stops "Obamacare"... The only real effect will be upon your waistline.

This is an interesting point i feel. There often seems to be some surprise when the Left get angry and that anger sometimes spills into aggression and rudeness. It's as if the Left is seen as all passive and slightly wishy washy. It's not how i see the Left really. I think they can get as angry and as passionate about their beliefs as anyone. I've been on quite a few anti-facisist demonstrations in my time, usually in response to marches by the far-right in heavily multi-cutural areas, and there is often quite a lot of anger. The far-right are usually hopelessly out-numbered but often are made up by quite violent people who, if the march is not controlled, are quite likely to run rampage attacking the shops and homes of minorities. The far-left anti-fascists have quite a hefty section as well and see themselves being there to protect the minorities to some extent. There can be some nasty fights among these scary guys. I keep my distance as much as possible as i'm really not into getting caught up in violence but i certainly don't feel i am tolerant of all ideas. Far from it. I am certainly not tolerant of the bigotry, racism and homophobia often found in the far-right and i reserve the right to get angry and passionate about certain things. And i also reserve the right to be rude sometimes-i'm just a human being after all- but i do try to apologise when i realise i have crossed the line and have been needlessly rude (as i did with you earlier in the thread)
