I know what you mean but this is a different situation and I hope there will be no cases of self-plagiarism :)

In any case we are walking on a thin line: no rules say that you can get a DQ for not following the challenge description, but at the same time it states that you shouldn't use one of your images.

I agree with the 2 comments I got. It isn't an easy job to remake a ribbon winner photo here, but it was nice to try it :)

Right on! Even some of the simpler looking shots that I tried were very difficult to replicate with the same level of quality. Gives me even more appreciation for the ribbon winners.

One way to reduce the number of images returned is to limit the search field to "Title" and the search filter to "Challenges only". The ribbon icons by the title make the ones of interest stand out fairly well. But, I agree it does take time :-).

Thanks, it's now around 6.2.

I did what I could, with what I had. Finally quit when I did and just entered because I was getting burnt out - been working on it every single evening, logging at least 2 and often 3 hrs at a time to get things done as closely as possible, shot an easy 400 frames.

So it's been a teensy bit frustrating that some commenters seem to expect a perfect replica of the original. In fact I'd like to someone - ANYONE, even the creator of the original image - replicate the shot using what I had to work with.

Maybe that should be a challenge suggestion...Deja Vu Redux Improvement, anyone? ;-)

ETA @ giantmike: Great comment, nice that someone gets it!!

I actually did limit my search to "title" and "challenges" and got 384 images, but that's cool :) Guess the title was a common word
