I thought it was the US not letting their citizens into Cuba, not the other way around. I am sure Cuba would welcome Americans and their money. But since you have a Canadian passport, there shouldn't be any problem. You'll be flying from Canada to Cuba, not through the US, so no big deal I'd say. |

I believe the problem is with the US gov't, not the Cuban gov't. I know that some US citizens got in trouble when they got home for going to Canada, then to Cuba. Also, if you come to the states afterward, you might not want your passport to have a stamp from Cuba. You might wind up with a trip back to the US part of Cuba... |

Won't be a problem.
They didn't stamp my passport the last time either. |

I think it's the US government that causes problems. Both of my sons have been to Cuba on business, but they went in and out on their Brazilian passports (they have dual nationality). This was several years ago, but their employers (large multinationals) didn't want to make waves about possibly doing business in Cuba. Don't know if the situation has changed. |

I think you should just try it, and then let us know if you have any problems. :)

You won't have any issues to enter or leave Cuba... They won't even stamp your passport...
Last year around 400,000 Americans visited Cuba. |

the US has a travel and trade embargo with Cuba that has never been lifted, i have no idea why the government continues to hold that grudge with Castro.

William Worthy isn't worthy to enter our door
Went down to Cuba ΓΆ€” he's not American anymore
But somehow it is strange to hear the State Department say
"You are living in the Free World ΓΆ€” in the free world you must stay"
