a 60D for $649.
trying to convince hubby.

best price I've seen!

Is that new? If so, watch out, it is far below the going price from reputable resellers. It may well be a bait & switch scam from a disreputable seller.

Convincing hubby can easily be done.

Wait till he is right busy, ask him in a bunch of questions that you know he will find trivial, make sure all of them require an affirmative answer....AND throw the camera request somewhere near the end of the list of questions and wait for the "YEAH, YEAH, SURE" answer you will get... Problem solved.

My wife used that for years and has a great collection of jewelry to prove that this approach works.

... Well it worked on me anyways. :O)

Not twice, but three times.

Ray, you owe us one more post to make it not twice but three times. ;)

Denielle, I would second Fritz' warning, if it is new, beware. If it looks to good to be true, it often isn't. there are a lot of sharks partoling the sub-MSP waters. Make sure the company has been in business for a while and has a decent reputation.

If they are on this list or this list ( and those are just the ones in Brooklyn) run, do not walk away from the deal, no matter how great it sounds.

I don't have a Canon to turn in, but I could pick up one from a pawn shop... easy enough, right?

Also check out any camera repair places nearby, they often have cameras that people brought in and found the repair cost too high. you can get the cheap and they are less likely to be stolen than at a pawn shop.

the pawn shops around here run serials... so they're less likely to be stolen.
and thanks for the suggestion

Oh snap! I can think of a MUCH better way to convince him to say yes. ...but it would be NSFW.

you could have had mine for cheaper :)

that said i got my 5d through clp and its a great program. i still have the camera i bought off e bay to trade in, i forgot to send it and they never asked for it, i did have to give the serial number though.

just look for a broken canon camera. anyone will do, even old film cameras and point and shoots.
