I was offered a two year extended warranty (total of 3 years) on my OM-D for $30. I bought it and then found out later that I was offered the wrong warranty by the camera shop... According to an Olympus rep, they haven't come out with an extended warranty for the OM-D yet and the m4/3 warranty I purchased doesn't apply to the OM-D. OK, whatever.

So I can return the purchased warranty and get a Mack warranty for $60 which would give me a 4 year warranty in total plus the warranty is transferable if I sell.

I rarely buy extended warranties and usually regret it because I've never had to use one.

Is it important to get a warranty on this camera... I bought it refurbished...

Or did I just answer my own question? ;-)

If refurbished I'd buy the extra warranty
