Advanced Editing. Show the best post processing (PP) of an image and include its unprocessed original side by side as a diptych. In the photographer's notes describe what steps/software you used in PP and why you made those choices.
It is essentially a free study with a twist. The aim is to learn the importance of PP in modern digital photography. Some DPCers do outstanding work in PP, it would be their showcase. |

We already have Expert Editing challenges as a showcase for PP maniacs.
I say no. |

I think it sounds interesting and something I could learn from. |

I agree, but part of me would like this challenge just to submit a RAW and along with it's minimal editing equivalent. Oh, wait, it's the same image. Well, at least you know which one would be mine beforehand. |

Thank you Margaret for your fine suggestion.
It sounds like a very good idea to me and I for one am glad that someone has something worth saying around here. |

I really like the idea... but IMO the image width would have to be increased substantially to make it worthwhile. Otherwise they would be just too small.
I think a challenge like this, especially running under Advanced, has the potential to generate a lot of discussion and debate about post-processing techniques. That can only be a good thing. |

Great suggestion. With, as Kirbic brought up, an increased size limit special rule. Advanced for sure, NOT expert. |
