Omg sitting here listen to my teenager scream about crap and it's just getting on my nerves. Soooo I was thinking what would a lovely visual of silence look like? :)

I see that there was a Silence II challenge back in 2009 so maybe this one could be revived.

If nothing else, peaceful pictures for sanity's sake :)

Advanced editing...

NYC is much too noisy. I say let's do it.

I could certainly use a bit of silence in my life right now.

As someone with a damn teen... I keep hearing this saying....

Silence is golden... but duct tape is silver :-)

- I'm a little late to the party but - Yay! - now it looks like I need to figure out what silence is since we don't get much of it here. Happy for the Advanced Editing. Here are previous challenges:

I had mine loaded up and ready for the challenge until my wife saw it and said...'your going to enter that...well, it's not your best work'. I have learned over 20+ years that she does know what she is talking about...

If my wife hates it, I know it's a keeper.

My wife is always right. I'm always wrong on the selection. But, I stopped asking her because I would never get to submit my fav image in the challenge. This actually explains a lot about my weak challenge entries.

My wife's record is pretty good...the last two entries my wife was not crazy about that I entered actually finished well below 6. Good enough for me.

I have no one to filter my images through... Probably a good thing lol, they may try to commit me. :)

No wife's opinions here. :D But the kids have no qualms about sharing their opinion with me.

I put the ear muffs on the camera, silent filter on the lens, and shot one for this challenge.
I'm in.

My husband doesn't get my photography, I usually ask my youngest he approves usually Of what I like, my middle child is like, no that's just "bad", but he says that about nearly all my work, lol.... that's actually a good sign, and my daughter was a good judge she could pick a winner, but she's living in the USA now, so I can't ask her :(

crap there goes my top 50 finish.

entered the one my wife likes, which is decidedly not dpc friendly. 4.5 awaits!

i just get a gut feeling... and send it out among others and if they come back with i like that one best then i get a sense of i chose right.. sometimes i just enter it anyway and see how its received by peers in the challenge.. :O)

my daughter saw my choices first and picked it, then my wife picked it. ironic since i know it's not a good scorer, but i won't submit anything else. i like it too. maybe not my fave, but i like it.

I try and submit photos that I like rather than what I "think" what others would like. Makes for a happier long term portfolio since I can't delete any challenge entries.

Joe - good for you for making your wife happy :D Can't wait to see something not-DPC friendly from you hehehehehe
