Welcome and good luck, and remember that voting goes on for a whole week! The suspense will kill you. And as for doing it right, just go out and shoot. If you worry about, imho, that you'll never please anyone, least of all yourself. |
It's not the shooting part its the submitting it properly part.
My shooting is amature at best but I need a kick in the butt to get better
DP seems like a good motivator. |

you have GOT to be kidding me.
I EXPECT it to drop, SAY it will drop, and it goes to a 5.2 after a couple votes?
so THATS the strategy. shoot for the brown, and watch your score soar... shoot for the blue, and watch is drop?

I would never complain about people voting low, that'd be extremely hypocritical. My only shock is the complete bimodality of the votes. I had 7.1111 after 9 votes. Then over the next 6 votes the average vote was 2.1667.
It's interesting. It's almost like people who are night owls (assuming you're in NA) have different tastes then the early birds.
If I ran this site, I'd be riffling through data and I'd try to get in contact with someone like Dan Ariely. It be really cool if there was some kind of correlation between what people find artistically appealing and their late night/early morning habits. |

This is really interesting. Not the fact that some photos can attract very high and very low votes (my image in this challenge is a perfect example) but that sometimes there are voting patterns that go in complete different directions. We can't do further studies on votes, but it would be interesting. |

the week long wait is going to kill me...i averaged scored everyone elses at a 6.1...i really liked this challenge and alot of the entries...always makes me nervous when i dont have any comments on my shots...

My score's been 5.9xxx since last night, now have 3 wonderful comments. Was at 6.4xxx briefly yesterday. So much for a new homepage shot :-/
