Ok I had kindof forgotten about the recent hurricane...It was not very bad bu we did have alot of rain...BP has been good so far about cleaning up the oil and they will

BTW when Romney referred to oil production being down, one of the major factors was all the oil BP spilled into the Gulf -- unfortunately for Obama just because it comes out of the well it's not allowed to be counted as "produced" ...

| Can anyone explain to me how Romney was asked about assault weapons, and he ended up talking about single mothers? These subtle connections slip by me sometimes. I know the term "firing blanks" can help with both issues, but other than that..... |

Yeah that was off topic....I don't care what party she is from (I know she is a Dem) I see no prob with her playing a video game. Everyone needs to have a release...Mine is photography hers is a game. That doesn't mean she is "unfit" to run for office.

My bad. I follow this thread intermittently as I'm not an American. I just find it interesting that republicans don't seem to care that his tax plan amounts to nothing. It's just a black hole of nothingness. |

I thought the Ryan plan was to mis-characterize Obama's Health Care Plan's savings as cutting 716 Billion from medicare, and scare seniors with the same death panel bullshit from the last campaign, while actually attempting to end Medicare as we know it with a voucher system? And that does suck.
eta: but the cartoon is a fair caricature of Obama.

I do love the Ryan plan to "save" medicare by turning it into a private voucher system. It reminds me of the old chestnut from the attack on Ben Tre "It became necessary to destroy the town to save it".
He is a man full of contradictions. He is an acolyte of Ayn Rand, who teaches that altruism is evil, yet he bothers to pretend to volunteer at a homeless shelter
