I edited my Got Till It's Gone picture from scratch for an exhibition in Iceland. I was wondering which one you like better? The original or the new one?

My original entry on the left and my #2 shot on the right:

The second shot is alot smoother and cleaner.

The second shot is a lot smoother and cleaner......and brighter. True white. I think #2 although I'd be proud of either. Great work, then and now.

I dunno, they are both awesome but i think i like the first one. Arnit, can you give a lil background on the photos? How did you achieve the photo? They are very captivating...

They're both great in their own way; but I'm leaning towards the cleaner one. I would, however, remove the two awkward chunks on the left side. One seems colored with a bit of green which makes it weird. While you're cleaning, you might aswell clean everything that's a bit botheresome to the shot.

Also, I'd try desaturating all the non-red/yellow channels to make the shadows grayer, instead of the uneven blueish hue.

Btw, this is one of my favorite DPC shots. It inspired my Chaos - Bar Fight picture (RIP). I was refering back to this picture repeatedly to show my friend how a good glass breaking shot is done and what shutter speed we need.

3 takes! that's incredible. I had to break 30 bottle for my shamefull BarFight picture.

I like the first one as well. I like the off white, greyish BG colour. Great shot!

Here are some informations on the shot:
1. Took it in my backyard.
2. The only light I used was the sun.
3. My mom dropped the glass for me :)
4. The background is just white paper.
5. I broke 3 glasses.
6. The shot I used is take number 2.
7. I used my 75-300mm lense so I wouldn't get wet.
8. My backyard was a mess after the shots.
9. It's actually not wine. It's raspberry juice.
10. Nobody got hurt while shooting.

Here you can see the setup.

I like the second by far the best. The brightness and contrast really help bring out the subject.

I like the first one better. The second one looks to clean to me.. it is a shot of a breaking glass, it shouldn't be that clean.. lol.. honestly I like the texture that the background that the first one adds.
