How about this challenge again.

Enter a photo you took in 2012, up until the day before this challenge starts.

IMO would be the same as the best of 2012. We could have a hidden gem challenge but without the restriction of this year. Simply an overall hidden gem.

Yes, we can do it, but IMHO would be more fun to find some overall hidden gem. Most of us are keeping some shots taken this year for the best of the year, maybe just one shot :)

I'm sure we could come up with more than one extra gem a year~
