Here's an idea.
every Thursday, run two challenges, one expert, one minimal, two completely separate subjects, members can enter one or both or neither if they choose, also remove the rule about expert editing being photographic in nature, just let it be what its wants to be, digital art.
everyone is happy.

I'm concerned that there are already too many challenges, and I think people are getting spread too thin. Otherwise I'd be fine with it.
This really should be in the Challenge Suggestions area ...
