| i ruled that out due to the size, the glass in that is tiny, but i was basing it on taking my 28-70L apart |

I'm pretty sure it's one of those little wheels you turn to adjust things.
Now, the question is, what the heck is it attached to, unfortunately, it could be anything from a pepper grinder to a volume knob. |
