Here is what I need to do with multiple files:

Open in LR4
Make minor adjustments
Export many files to CS5
Run the following batch process on these imported files
--->Run Topaz Clean plugin
--->Save
--->Close
--->Send back to LR4
--->Repeat

Here is the problem. I cannot get CS5 to save, close and send back into LR4. It saves, closes but NOTHING will show back up in LR4 UNLESS I sit at the computer and click "save" for each individual image. This totally defeats the purpose of running a batch as I have to sit and wait for each picture to be ready to save.

I used to use Aperture 3 and never had this issue. I don't know how to fix this and it's driving me nuts and wasting lots of time.

Can anyone help?????

ETA: I recorded a few different actions and nothing I do will make CS5 send the file back into LR4. One option saves and closes but I can't find the file anywhere. The other option requires me to save everything one at a time as the files are processed and with this method, the files DO show up in LR4.

What file type are these?

Working with canon raw. I think LR4 sends tiff to CS5 and CS5 returns tiff.

One way to skin this cat is to export from Lr as TIFF, then open Ps, and run File>Automate>Batch. You can then re-import to Lr while leaving them at their current location.
FWIW, I don't know why you'd want to send them back to Lr. What I would do is:
- Import the RAWs to Lr, cull, adjust, rate, etc.
- Export my chosen shots to TIFF
- Run any/all Ps processes needed on the shots and save final versions

i dont know if this works for batch, but you can export files to PS from LR and maintain the changes on both ends
