So now I'm trying to learn some stuff about digital. That's a huge switch for me. Anyway hope to have some fun here. Already had a chance to kinda "meet" some cool people on here. If you have any questions please ask :) |
Ok, so I won't ask, and I'll even save the Polish jokes for later when you wander unsuspectingly into /rant.... ;)
I too love b&w film work, and I think that experience will serve you well here!
So, welcome to DPC, we used to give out fruit baskets to new members, but with these budget cuts.......
Just a couple of pointers, to help you get started.
1. Stay away from anyone named Spiff, Art, or Slippy nevermind. ;)
2. Check the date on your camera, make sure it's right
3. Read the challenge rules, and take some time to understand what is ok, and what is not, for each rule set (Expert, Advanced, Basic, Minimal)
4. 4 is a bad score, 5 is a meh score, 6 is pretty good, and 7+ is awesome.
5. Despite my joke about wandering into /rant, unless you're wearing leather for skin and enjoy beating dead horses, you probably are better off staying out of there.
This is a very helpful community of great people, don't hesitate to ask questions here in the forums - I think the community in general has a lot of fun with that stuff.
