Bit of a plug for some free marketing but hopefully of interest to any parents with iPads here.

I have just released an iPad game aimed at preschool kids. The game is free so I wanted to let fellow DPC peeps know about it so they can give it a test drive.

Here is the link:

//itunes.apple.com/us/app/button-board/id498064247?ls=1&mt=8

Some more info here

Any nice reviews on app store would be appreciated.

Hey thanks Giles - really appreciate you giving it a test run. Did you say you made a video of it? That would be cool to see:)

I had initially had in-app purchases turned off but was advised by other developers to turn it on and let parents turn it off. The most damage to a wallet this game could result in is 3 x £0.69 and well worth every penny.

Bit of a learning curve in terms of working out what premium content parents may buy.

Really helpful getting your feedback - does that mean my game is not going to earn me a ribbon? :)

Brilliant - I will be sure to let you know. If you do the twitter thing, there is a twitter page for it at //www.twitter.com/buttonboard - you can be my first follower:) I will send a tweet when the Android version is available.

Thanks Giles - nice to see the game on the big screen. Probably a bit dull for your son to play - think the target audience is more like 1 to 3 year old. Your son may prefer my other game "Ball Frenzy" :)

I tried it out and both my kids liked it a lot (ages 2 and 4 1/2).

My four year old was a little too old for it. she found it easy and got bored with it fairly quickly, but that is OK as she is outside your age range.

It was a really good fit for the two year old. He understood it but still confused him a few times like any good teaching app should. After a few of the images he got pretty good at it and could do a them without assistance.

The app itself looked really good. Most the apps out there have that amateur look to them, but this one was nice and polished. One thing I would recommend is to change the title screens "Play" button to either be much bigger then the other two buttons or make it a symbol. Because preschoolers can't read they couldn't figure out how to start playing the game. I did like how you needed to double tap the other two buttons.

I'll try to write up a nice app store review for you in the next few days.

Thank you kindly bhuge

I am really pleased your kids liked it and appreciate the positive feedback on the look of it.

Good point about the Play button. I think in version 2, I will put a "Parents" button top left and just have one big play button.

That would be really appreciated if you would write a review - it would really help me.

If you would like some promo codes to enable you to get the other 18 pictures for your 2 year old let me know and I will PM some to you.

Many thanks!!
