Well, as long as you are aware. It's easy to use a bit of forensic judo and turn your logical argument on its head.
Facts I know to be true:
1) I witnessed a Christian last month sell some of their belongings and give the money to the homeless shelter.
2) I know a snippet in the Bible says "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor" (Matthew 19:21)
From these two facts I am going to use your own logical processes demonstrated above and come to the following conclusions:
1) People who belong to an organized religion are benevolent, caring, and giving.
2) All benevolent, caring, and giving actions are likely to derive from organized religion.
3) If someone demonstrates a benevolent, caring, or giving action we can make a link to anything involving organized religion in their life. If we can't find that link we can fall back on their society and look for a link to organized religion there.
I actually feel a lot better now! All hail organized religion! ;) | .
... and that my good friend is something you would describe as a QUANTUM LEAP.
Your efforts in this regard are however justifiable illustrations of just how we can mould things to fit our perceptions. :O)

Probably a lot, but after they proved their point they were no longer deemed crazy but rather as visionaries.

Or wait, maybe your word "justifiable" was a nudge nudge to say you understood what I was doing. Kudos if that was it! I'm going to think that was it because of your smiley.

Hell I'll admit it... I just do this because the more they say, the crazier they usually tend to look. I like it when they look crazy.

I do it so I CAN have a more effective, yet civilized talk. This is the proving ground, and like most practice fields it bears little resemblance to the real thing. I have a meeting with my HOA coming up in a month because someone doesn't like my greenhouse. I literally thought yesterday that it will be so much easier after my years in Rant because I know quite well what language only infuriates rather than convinces and will endeavor to avoid it. My world class onions can thank DPC rant. |

Admittedly, this is another tangential benefit I also enjoy... It's the reason I really enjoy /rant. It's like debate class, but with people who aren't stupid. ;) |

So, reading the news... Totally unacceptable, we as a species shouldn't have to even tolerate this sort of primitive behavior.

I really want to hear someone defend these jerks, I'm in the mood to lay into the first person who speaks up in their defense. |

I blame the religious and political organizations. The humans are just sheep on two different sides of a fence that they did not create, and are apparently quite oblivious to being used as pawns.
I don't blame the police or the "protesters" (by the way, calling these people protesters is like calling Jeffrey Dahmer a gastronome), but rather the forces that drive them to these actions. It's sickening and sad to watch. |

it is sad,
i really see no hope for improvement, they clearly need to start thinking for themselves over there, but that comes with education and what incentive do the governments have to actually want that considering they can have their people revolt and claim they had no idea or control over them.

You probably have better sense than that... I'm hoping for one of our religious / political apologists to arrive with their non-sense. |

Some decent reporting in the first half, mixed with some major partisan rhetoric in the second. |
